Optoma GT2160HDR True 4K UHD Short Throw Gaming Projector Announced in India

Optoma has announced the arrival of its true 4K UHD short throw gaming projector, the Optoma GT2160HDR, to the Indian market. The brightness of the projector is 4000 lumens. Additionally, it supports a minimum input lag of 4 ms and a refresh rate of 240 Hz. It also has HDMI 2.0 support for connecting to 4K entertainment.

The Optoma GT2160HDR is equipped with a top-of-the-line Texas Instruments 4K UHD DLP chipset that uses a high-performance fast-switching DMD and XPR video processing technology to display 8.3 million pixels, or four times the pixels of 1080P resolution, in line with the standard 4K UHD specification requirements the Consumer Technology Association.

The short throw lens used by the GT2160HDR has a throw ratio of 0.496. This practically means that the user can project a 120-inch image from a distance of only four feet. The user’s living room screen can be enlarged up to 300 inches thanks to the projector’s short throw capabilities.

The GT2160HDR offers a high brightness of 4,000 lumens and a strong and stunning color performance. Optoma’s advanced calibration and color correction technologies go beyond HDTV Rec. 709 requirements to provide the most accurate and faithful shades possible for realistic and immersive visuals.

Optoma’s GAMER mode is tuned to enhance detail in dark areas of the image. As a result, players have a better chance of avoiding being jolted by an opponent hiding in the shadows. The GT2160HDR will automatically switch to HDR display mode if it detects an HDR-encoded game. In case that’s not the case, the GT2160HDR offers an HDR SIM mode to add an HDR effect to gaming graphics and provide wide color gamut settings and sharp contrast without sacrificing any detail.

With features like HDR Hue and Tone Mapping technology, HDR / HLG movies or games can be displayed with the best possible performance in terms of accurate colors and dynamic contrast. For connectivity, it includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a USB port and two HDMI 2.0 ports that support any external 4K devices such as Apple TV 4K, PS4 Pro and XBOX One X.
